As I sat and talked to Lou Woods one afternoon at the bait shop (Wolf River Outfitters) he was telling me of a guide job that he recently had. Lou said that his client was catching fish but he would set the hook and reel them in as fast as he possibly could? Lou was surprised at this and told his client to just slow down and ‘enjoy the fight’.

Lou and I just stopped what we were doing and looked at each other; I said your right; I like that just ‘enjoy the fight™’!

Simply put know matter what species you fish for, the reasons you fish, the way you fish, or the tackle you fish with simply slow down and ‘enjoy the fight™’.

That is how the phrase ‘Enjoy the Fight™’ was penned; in the upcoming weeks look for some big things with our ‘Enjoy the Fight’™ campaign. From merchandise to decals, etc. with different species on them (White Bass, Walleye, Musky, Bass, etc.) under the same logo.

Show your pride and your enjoyment for fishing or hunting by getting yourself and others to slow down and just ‘Enjoy the Fight™’.

Being a former tournament fisherman I know how easy it is to get caught up with the money and the need for speed either in your boat or getting that fish in the boat. It took me several years of getting my butt handed to me to figure it out. All those memorable opportunities that I missed, fortunately it’s never too late to start.

We only get so many sunrises and sunsets everyday that passes you get one less; enjoy every aspect of the outdoors!
